Based on the request of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC), the WIPO Academy was to develop a “microsite” on IP-based tourism in ASEAN
countries, under the COVID-19 Response Package. The microsite would showcase eighteen (18) case studies/ success stories from the region and building appreciation of IP as a
business and develop tool for the sector. The 18 case studies webpages will be hosted on a dedicated IP and Tourism website within the ASEAN Tourism website (Visit Southeast Asia | Travel Info for the Southeast Asia Region). As agreed with ASEC, the IP and Tourism microsite is planned to be launched during the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025 (Asean Tourism Forum). |
